We are looking for a Product & Technical Support Specialist.
This will be a permanent position working from your home office and telecommuting. The nature of the job is to provide solutions to technical problems or questions that arise from the Customer Care department, customers (resellers, distributors, DMR’s), and field representatives. Act as a liaison between end-users, resellers, and distributors. Create and maintain relationships with install vendors, manage install base and make recommendations to end-users and resellers for installation of Ergotron products and participate in installs and on-site diagnostics when necessary.
We need someone with the ability to work with end-users and resellers and positively represent us in the field. You have demonstrated experience in mechanical, electrical and/or computer hardware integration/installation. Ability to travel to a customer location within agreed to service requirements in France/Europe. Ability to travel to Ergotron EHQ for required training and certification. Excellent communication skills speaking English fluently, French and any German would be an advantage.
Duties include performing warranty and/or non-warranty repairs at a customer site as directed by the Manager Customer Care EMEA
Perform integration of product at a customer site – includes but is not exclusive to:
o Unpack product, monitors, CPUs, laptops, keyboards, mice, etc.
o Assemble and install product and prepare for hardware installation
o Tailor configuration to user’s specific hardware
o Install hardware (monitors, CPUs, laptops, keyboards, mice, etc.)
o Adjust all product movements (counterbalance per weight of hardware)
o Route and organize cabling
